Track the lifecycle of an approval request

What happens when a request is submitted, at each approval, on rejection and on escalation.

← Help center
Event What happens
Submission The matching policy is selected and copied; step 1 is activated and its approvers are notified. The batch is "Pending approval".
Approval The vote is recorded (name, date, comment, on whose behalf). Once the step's quorum is reached, the next step is activated.
Last step approved The request is approved; the batch can be sent to the bank (and signed if the bank requires it).
Rejection A single rejection is enough: the request is rejected with the reason entered. The vendor bills in the batch are released and can be selected again; direct debits and LCR bills return to "pending".
Cancellation The submitter can withdraw the request while it is in progress.
Time limit exceeded Escalation or automatic approval, depending on the policy options (checked automatically by Arkaio).
